Who knows what battles the forces of evil will win, not having to face the likes of a master channeler? Evil had won a great victory today, and a powerful new demigod had ascended, but channeling was hardly the only way to wield magic, and a brilliant and determined young Valarian would rise again. But that's a tale for another day.
